Directing

While training for a career in musical theatre, I discovered a passion for directing—realizing how story transcends medium, whether it's a musical or a straight play. I’ve come to love shaping a narrative from offstage just as much as bringing it to life onstage. During my junior year at the Boston Conservatory I was selected for the Directing Emphasis Specialization and was given the opportunity to direct three 10 minute scenes and a full-length production my senior year. What I have learned about myself, my artistry, process, and values this past year has been truly essential to my growth as not only a creative, but a performer as well.

I strive to create a room that has clear expectations, fosters an environment that is uplifting and supportive of creativity, and is a space that prioritizes safety of actors in and out of the room. I believe collaboration is the key to authenticity when crafting the arc of a character and the story as a whole.
